I began teaching music for USD 244 in August of 2018
I began teaching music privately in 1984. I began teaching music in schools in 1989.
For the last thirteen years I have been employed with USD 348 Baldwin City. Eight as an elementary music teacher, the last five as the district technology support coordinator.
I have performed as a professional musician for orchestras, musical theater, and dance bands since 1983.
I have been married to my wife Christine for 33 years. She is the reading specialist for Washburn Rural High School in Topeka, KS.
We have three children. Sarah, 28, is married and lives and works in Houston, Texas. Jared, 24, lives and works in Topeka, Kansas. Laurel, 18, is a freshman at University of Kansas.
We have three dogs that bring us great joy and peace – Jasmine, Gizmo, and Jack. They are all terrier mixes (mutts) that are shelter rescued.
I love to cook. Reading and searching for new recipes, making new ones, is my passion.
If I am not working, performing, or cooking, my head is in a book. If I could support myself somehow, I would read non-stop.
