I have been married 3 years to my husband, Harold. We have known each other since elementary school and high school, but went out into the world following high school and lost track of each other. He found me, with the help of his daughter, Rhiannon, almost 10 years ago. I have 5 children: Josh, Nic, Ian, Rhiannon and Matt. (Yes, we both have daughters named Rhiannon!) Together we have 10 wonderful grandchildren, the oldest of which is a Junior at CSUBakersfield and the youngest who just had his 1st birthday. All of our children and grandchildren live in CA. We are hoping they come vacation with us in our big (old) house soon! I have a cat who was a feral who adopted me. She is both very loving and very annoying. She traveled here to KS with me in the pick-up.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy cooking, baking, canning and preserving, sewing, and reading. I enjoy gardening, but currently do not have a garden. I love traveling, and especially enjoy traveling in Europe. We went to Budapest, Hungary, 2 years ago, and I cannot wait to return. The history of Hungary is very fascinating, sometimes happy, many times tragically sad. This is reflected in the people. I have friends and penpals from many countries, although not as many as I used to have. One of my friends from England teaches abroad. She is currently teaches in Dubai. Another friend, originally from New York, lives and teaches in California.
